A ‘Choirs Together’ night, featuring Bury Acapeelers and The Brixi Singers, is on Saturday 18th March at 7pm. It’s at the Bury Fusiliers Museum and tickets are £5 from 0161 253 5111. Proceeds to Bury Hospice.

The Steve Ferringo Band will be performing at Walshaw Sports Club on Saturday 18th March at 7pm in a fundraising event for Bury Hospice. It’s £12.50 with tickets from Andy and Wendy Buckley on 07740 957842 or 07974 703451. 

It’s best foot forward for a Country and Western Music and Line Dancing night on Saturday 1st April for Bury Hospice. It’s in conjunction with Radcliffe Support Group and starts at 7-30pm at the Polish Club, on the back of East Street. Artists include OJ Reynolds, Mike Wallace and DJ Mark (the Kid). There are no whippets but there is a fantastic Lancashire Evening! Ramsbottom Support Group have organised the night with a tasty two-course Lancashire Supper and entertainment by ‘Senior Moments’. It’s on Friday 24th March with tickets Ј20 each and will take place at Ramsbottom Cricket Club, 7-7-30pm. For tickets contact Ann Birch on 0161 763 5422

Get on your bike for Bury Hospice! On Sunday 4th June, the Tour de Manc bike ride will take place and Bury Hospice is one of three chosen charities which will benefit – HATS (support for the Haematology and Transplant Unit at The Christie Hospital) and Forever Manchester are the other two. 

Bury Hospice have been given 30 places for the 100-mile event – there is also a less challenging 100km course as well – and the cost per place is Ј29.99 plus the Eventbrite fee, making it Ј32.44. If anyone takes a place for Bury Hospice, they ask for a minimum of Ј100 sponsorship.
The event starts at Virgin Active Lancashire on Heywood Old Road in Middleton at 7-30am and is an anti-clockwise circuit around Manchester. 
Last year’s event sold out within two weeks of going live.

Bury Hospice’s annual charity golf tournament on Thursday 4th May promises to be a big hit. The event is sponsored by NFU Mutual and tee-off times are between 12 noon and 4pm at Bury Golf Club. It’s Ј200 for a team of four. For more information and to enter contact 0161 797 1748.
