Our shops stock a huge variety of goods including clothing, household items, toys & collectables. We also have a furniture showroom with a delivery and collection service for your purchases and donations. Our new boutique shop in the Millgate Shopping Centre, Bury opened in Dec 2016 and stocks a beautiful range of high-quality ladieswear, accessories & gifts.
You could also visit our eBay store and grab yourself a bargain from vintage toys to memorabilia to antiques and clothing; whatever your interests, you’re sure to find something special at the Bury Hospice eBay store.
We depend entirely on the generosity of the local people in donating items for sale.
You can take your donations to any of our shops during opening hours, to the Hospice or to our donation centre in Radcliffe. For larger furniture items or if you have a lot of things to donate, please call John in our warehouse to arrange a collection on 0161-725-8405.

What items can you donate?
We are always looking for good quality donations of:
- Furniture and electrical items – (Please note that all upholstered furniture must have a fire retardant label attached.)
- Clothes for women, men and children
- Shoes & Handbags
- Accessories (including ties, belts and jewellery)
- CDs and DVDs
- Children’s toys
- Homeware / bric a brac
We’re extremely grateful for every donation but unfortunately there are a few items we can’t either sell in our shops or, recycle. Donations that are broken, dirty, or do not comply with trading standards and are unusable have to be thrown away and this costs the charity money. Please be aware that our drivers may come out to you and, on seeing your items, have to tell you we are unable to accept them.
Gift Aid on donated goods
If you are a UK tax payer, we can increase the value of your donated goods, through the government’s Gift Aid scheme. This means that everything we sell is worth an extra 25% to us, at no additional cost to you!
So if we sell an item for £5.00, we can reclaim an additional £1.25, increasing its value to £6.25. This extra revenue will make a massive difference to us and will enable us to support more and more people living with a terminal illness in Bury.
Ask in one of our shops for further details about gift aid on donated goods.
