Memory Birds

August 2022
The bird is Bury Hospice’s logo and can be seen on the large donor wall in the Hospice, designed by local artist, Robert Cox.
The concept behind Robert’s design are the six townships we care for across the borough including Bury, Prestwich, Radcliffe, Ramsbottom, Tottington and Whitefield depicted by the six ribbons, each in a colour to match the six colours of the bird logo. Robert stated: “The vision is ‘dynamic’, the bird is a free spirit and the continuity of the Spirit of those who have gone before.” The Hospice has commissioned a limited number of birds that will be created by GJ Plastics in Radcliffe who supply the hearts for our heart wall. The birds will be made using the same colours and acrylics as the hearts we have on display. The birds can be dedicated in memory of someone special. Each bird will carry a small inscription or name of a loved one.

The funds raised from our memory birds will help us to continue caring for patients and their families across Bury.
Suggested donation: £15 per bird.
