Can you step up to the challenge in 2022?

Will your business go the extra mile to support Bury Hospice?

It costs over £3.5 million per year to run Bury Hospice, and we need to raise £3 million of that ourselves through our fundraising, retail shops and lottery.

Bury Hospice are looking for businesses to show their creative and physical skills whilst helping to fund specialist end of life care for local patients, their families and carers when they need it most.

The Hospice is fortunate to have such amazing support from local businesses and the community across the borough and it is touching to see how much effort people are prepared to put in to raise vital funds.

The Challenge

Bury Hospice in Rochdale Old Road is launching a Corporate Team Challenge where we are asking local businesses to compete against each other and use their fundraising and business skills to turn £30 into as big a donation as possible. The Team Challenge will take place this spring and will run until the end of October 2022. The idea is to turn the initial £30 seed fund, given to you by Bury Hospice, into as much money possible for the Hospice. It is a great opportunity for businesses to hold your own fundraising event or initiative. The list of fundraising challenges is endless. You can have a dress down day, Quiz Night, Race Night, Curry Night, Sky Dive or Sports Challenge - or anything else that you can think of.

You could also choose to enter a team into one of the Hospice run events to raise as much sponsorship as possible:

Our Golf Day on July 1st.
Abseil down Peel Tower on July 16th.
Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on September 3rd.

Teams are encouraged to show their team spirit, physical strength and entrepreneurial skills by going head-to-head against each other – all friendly rivalry of course!

Who can get involved?

The challenge is open to businesses, organisations and groups of any size across Bury and the team can include as many people as possible. Giving makes us all feel good and whether you would like to challenge your organisation to reach their full potential, or use this as a team building exercise the Corporate Team Challenge is a fantastic way to get your team involved whilst raising vital funds for your local Hospice.

Promotion

Just let us know what your challenge is and Bury Hospice will promote each competing business through its social media channels, website and newsletters and there will be a leader board every month to encourage competition. There will be chances to network and trophies will be presented for the top three turnover winners plus Social Media Magic winners and an award for the most creative idea.
