Donating or fundraising in memory of someone is a special and meaningful way to remember them, honouring their life, whilst supporting the hospice at the same time. There are many ways you can do this including:

A collection at a funeral
Fundraising in their memory
Support or attend one of our memorial events

Set up a Tribute Page

Setting up a tribute page is an easy and long lasting way of creating a dedicated place for you, your family and friends to remember a loved one, whilst supporting the hospice.

At Bury Hospice we have partnered up with Much Loved to enable you to set up a dedicated tribute page, where you can share memories, photos and videos. It is also a platform where people can donate in memory to support the ongoing support and work of Bury Hospice for the community of Bury. To set up a tribute page is also completely free of charge.

Their memory will live on

Personalise your page – Once you have set up your page you can celebrate and reminisce the life of your loved one by sharing messages, memories, thoughts and stories with family and friends as well as light candles, add music, photos and videos.

Collect donations in their memory - Friends and family can leave messages and donations as they also honour the life of your loved one.

Celebrate occasions and raise money – The page is available as long as you want, so you can continue your loved one’s memory by coming back to your tribute page over time to mark special dates and occasions.

A collection at a funeral

Many families request a donation to a charity rather than flowers for funerals. At the Hospice we can support you with donation envelopes which can be distributed at the service. Your Funeral Director can also arrange this for you. To request envelopes contact the fundraising team on:

Fundraising in their memory

The community are at the heart of everything we do and throughout the year our supporters run their own events in memory of their loved one. From ladies lunches through to zip wire challenges, our community are amazing and we could not do what we do without their support.

You can set up the fundraiser you are doing as an event on the tribute page and have people donate there or you can set up a separate JustGiving page. If you decide to use a JustGiving page you can still add your final total to your tribute fund by adding an offline donation.

Hospice Memorial Events

Throughout the year we run memorial events at the Hospice where our supporters and the local community can reflect and remember the life of a loved one who is no longer with us. These events include our annual Light up of a Life event in December, a memory walk and our summer memorial.
