Bury Hospice Charity Shops

Our shops could not survive without the dedicated support of over 150 valued volunteers. These roles vary from receiving and logging donated goods at our warehouse, organising and displaying goods in our shops, assisting customers and generally ensuring our shops operations run smoothly.

We are always looking for new volunteers to help us so, if you can spare a few hours, just pop into one of our shops or contact Josie Bades on 0161-725-9800.

You can make donations at any of our shops between 9:30am and 4:00pm, as well as at our Donation & Distribution Centre at Unit 13, Dale Industrial Estate, Radcliffe. To arrange collections of furniture or large, bulky items please call 0161-725-8405.

Please note: We can only accept donations that are clean, in good working order and are saleable. Goods that you donate that are broken or that we are unable to resell or recycle have to be sorted and disposed of, which costs the Hospice and directs funds away from patient services. Our drivers always inspect goods to make sure they are suitable, so please do not be offended if your goods are rejected. If you are unsure, please call us on 0161-725-8405. Upholstered goods need a current British Standard fire resistant label.

If you are a UK tax payer, we can increase the value of your donated goods through the Government’s Gift Aid scheme. This means that everything we sell is worth an extra 25% to us, at no additional cost to you! So, if we sell an item for £5.00, we can reclaim an additional £1.25, increasing its value to £6.25. This extra revenue makes a huge difference and enables us to support more and more people.
