This free course is suitable for Health & Social care staff and volunteers working with individuals who may benefit from the opportunity to plan their future care.
The aim of this course is to increase knowledge, confidence and communication skills relating to Advance Care Planning, helping learners to understand the principles and benefits of Advance Care Planning in line with the Mental Capacity Act (2005).
Identify relevant documentation used to communicate wishes and preferences for care including Lasting Power of attorney and Advance Decisions to Refuse Treatment.
Increased confidence in communication skills relating to sensitive conversations.

All sessions will run from 9am-4pm in the Learning Hub, Bury Hospice, Rochdale Old Road, Bury, BL9 7RG.
