Bury Hospice will be once again be running its Christmas Tree Collection service between Friday, January 13 through to Sunday, January, 15, across the BL0, BL8, BL9, M25, M26, M45 postcode areas – and Ainsworth, Bradley Fold, Harwood and Bradshaw.

Bury Hospice has staged its biggest annual fundraiser – Strictly Best Foot Forward 2022.

In front of a star studded judging panel, sixteen couples danced their hearts out to raise money for Bury Hospice. Each couple had their own reasons for taking part, many of whom had experienced the amazing care and support provided by the Hospice.

The funniest doctor in medicine, Dr Kevin Jones has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Bury Hospice. Kevin grew up in Chester and qualified in medicine from Liverpool University in 1977. He worked on the heart-lung transplant team at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge as a registrar and was a senior registrar at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. He became a consultant physician at Bury General in 1990 and then moved to the Royal Bolton Hospital in 1998. While at Bolton he was the lead for acute medicine until retiring in June of this year.
