Top Comedians Set To Bring the House Down

comedy festival 2025

Bury Hospice Comedy Festival returns to entertain the crowds.

The Bury Hospice Comedy Festival is back for the second time, following last year’s incredible sell-out debut.

The festival, sponsored by retailer, JD Sports, returns to Elton Liberal Club, Bury, on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th March, boasting a stellar line-up of comedic performers.

Comedians, Jack Gleadow, Jamie Sutherland, Josh Daniels, and Scott Bennett, will be hitting the stage to showcase their talents and entertain the crowds in aid of Bury Hospice.

The Comedy Festival, which is hosted by Britain’s Funniest Doctor and Bury Hospice trustee, Dr Kevin Jones, takes place on the Friday and Saturday evenings, and includes an additional matinée on Saturday, which is an increase from last year’s two shows.

Dr Jones, said: “We had an incredibly successful Comedy Festival last year, with an incredible cast of comedians, which went down an absolute storm.”

“We sold out both nights and the feedback from the crowds and the comedians, themselves, was fantastic.”

“I’ve worked with these comedians, and I know just how good they are. They are all top-class guys who are delighted to come and help us because they support our cause.”

The talented line-up includes award-winning entertainers who have performed Live at the Apollo, sold out national tours, amazed audiences at comedy stages at Glastonbury, Latitude, the Edinburgh Fringe, and have had features on radio and TV.

Scott Bennett, said: “It’s an honour to be involved in such a brilliant event for a really worthy cause. A lot of my family have experienced the incredible work and care a hospice provides and it’s an invaluable and essential service that we should do everything to support.”

“And getting to work with the enchanting Kevin Jones is a chance you don’t turn down!”

The comedians will certainly keep the audiences laughing as they showcase their versatility and varying comedic styles on the stage at the Bury Hospice Comedy Festival.

Jamie Sutherland, said: “I’ve performed at Elton Liberal Club many years ago; it’s a cracking venue which will lend itself to the comedy show – the traditional clubs have a great cosy feel.”

“Working with Dr Kevin Jones is always fun, and the chance to raise much needed funds in such a fun way is always a night to want to be a part of.”

Jack, Jamie, Josh, and Scott have performed at the UKs best comedy clubs, and local audiences can expect to see them showcase traditional gags, parody, observational comedy, and storytelling, with some elements of music and physicality also incorporated.

Dr Jones, said: “These are amongst the top comedians that you could ever see – they'll absolutely bring the house down.”

Join us for two unmissable nights and a standalone matinee show at the Bury Hospice Comedy Festival, on 14th and 15th March 2025, at Elton Liberal Club, New George Street, Bury, BL8 1NW.
