A mural painted by pupils at Bury College has been bringing smiles to patients, staff, and visitors at Bury Hospice.
The mural, located on the first floor of the hospice, spans the length of the corridor, adding a splash of colour to the area.
This student-led mural project follows the success of the first one, which took place at the hospice in 2023.
This year’s cohort was tasked with coming up with a new design that reflects Bury Hospice and the local community.
Thirteen students submitted designs for consideration, with Bury Hospice CEO, Stuart Richardson, selecting the winning idea.
The winning selection was co-painted by all 13 pupils.
The mural depicts six hydrangeas and three Manchester Bees, reflecting the hospice’s beautiful Japanese Garden and the spirit of Greater Manchester.
Each hydrangea is painted in a Bury Hospice signature colour, and represents one of the six Bury Borough towns: Bury, Ramsbottom, Tottington, Radcliffe, Whitefield, and Prestwich.
