Bury Hospice Supporters Attend Proms in the Park

Burrs Country Park opened its gates to more than 750 music lovers, all ready to enjoy our Proms in the Park concert, as part of The Met’s popular music festival, Burrs Live on Sunday, September 3rd.

The event, hosted by former BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Jenna G, featured The Untold Orchestra and there was a spectacular line-up of music from movies, musicals and hit songs, all beautifully sung and played by talented musicians.

The afternoon concert was an event for all of the family, combining the serene beauty of the park with the enchanting melodies of a live orchestra.

The sun was shining and many people decked out their chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy the music and range of actives, stalls and food outlets.

Families and friends danced together whilst they listened to the music.

The Orchestra was well received by children and adults as they commented on the success of the first time Proms in the Park event.

There was a real family feel to it and the orchestra really engaged with the audience and put on a fabulous performance.
